Self- Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana cannot be attained by ego centric reasoning.

Self- Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana cannot be attained by ego centric  reasoning. Ego   or ‘waking entity is the false self within the false experience.  Consciousness becomes easy of comprehension, when taught by a Gnani not by religious guru or yogi. One has to attain Self- Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana  right now in this very life not in next world or next life.

Gnani, by means of concentration on the true Self, realizes that ancient, effulgent hidden and which dwells and pervades in everything and everywhere in all the three states as its formless substance and witness.

The consciousness is the true self.  The knowing the true Self is not born; it does not die. It has not sprung from anything; nothing has sprung from It. Birthless, eternal, everlasting and ancient, it is not killed when the body is killed or when the world disappears. If the murderer thinks he kills and if the killed man thinks he is killed, neither of these apprehends aright. The consciousness kills not, nor is it killed.

Consciousness exists in smaller than the small, greater than the great, and is hidden in the three states as its formless substance and witness. A man who is free from viewing and judging the worldview on the base of ‘ego’ beholds the consciousness through tranquility and becomes free from experiencing the duality as reality.

Gnani, having realized consciousness as dwelling within impermanent states is bodiless, pervades the three states as its formless substance and witness and permanent and eternal.

The true self is consciousness. Self-knowledge cannot be acquired by the study of the scriptures, or by intelligence, or by much hearing of sacred books. It is attained by him alone whom It chooses. To such a one consciousness  reveals its own form.

He who has not rectified his reasoning  base from the form(ego)’ base  to formless(soul) base , who does not have the intense urge to know the ultimate truth and who is not tranquil and subdued and whose mind is not receptive , cannot acquire Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. It is realized only through soul-centric  reasoning.

Consciousness is ultimate truth. Consciousness alone is real. Universe is unreal. Everything other than consciousness is unreal.

The waking objects fall into two categories- practical life within the practical world waking objects become unreal on the dawn of non-dual wisdom. The egocentric knowledge within the practical life is not self-knowledge.  Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana means the means the knowledge of the soul, which is the innermost self. The soul is in the form of consciousness. Therefore, formless consciousness is the innermost self.  Thus basing the reason on the soul is soul-centric reasoning.

Waking objects exist even before they are known. They are product of ignorance.  Thus they are covered by ignorance. When this ignorance is removed through wisdom than the duality ceases. The ignorance covers the pure consciousness, which is the innermost self, limited by the object. The object itself is not self-luminous and so no covering is necessary for it to remain unknown. The consciousness limited by the object is self-luminous and so it remains unknown only because of the covering of ignorance. When the covering is removed through wisdom, the consciousness underlying the object illumines the object and then the object is become conscious of.
