Surrender to belief of God is not the means to overcome the duality.

People believe in old myths propagated by their religion. Every religion has propagated its own myth. Every religious belief contradicts other beliefs. It is mere blind belief accepted as truth without verification and evidence.  This causes division. Modern science has exposed many Religious dogmas as myth. All these dogma were introduced in primitive era   before people had the benefit of modern science. Science attempts to objectively discover how life works, and religion makes one blindly believe and cast his  burden on the blind belief without verification,  to live in peace and harmony in practical life  within the practical world.

Surrender to belief of God  is not the means to overcome the duality. The belief is not the ultimate truth or Brahman or God.  The surrender to belief  of God is mere imaginary and leads one towards hallucination. Even if one tries to surrender to his belief of God , he will never be able to do it. one has to realize the belief is not God. individualized God is religious fable.

Kabir views humanity as being caught up in illusion, searching for Ultimate Reality in all the wrong places, always seeking It outside of ourselves in various rituals, temples, forests and mountaintops, not realizing That for which we seek is already hidden within us.

The ultimate truth is God. The ultimate truth or Brahman dwells within the three states like fragrance in the flower; Musk lies within the Musk-deer yet seeks it afar." Until one trace the truth within the three states the illusion of birth, life, death and the world is experienced as reality.

Meher Baba said: - To love God as he ought to be loved, we must love for God and die for god, knowing that the goal of life is to know God, and find him as our own self.

To realize God is to attain liberation from the bondage of illusion.

Live only to find and realize your true identity with your beloved God.

The energy which is expended in mere thinking, taking or writing is like steam which escapes through the whistle of railway engine …

That is why the sages have always insisted on practice rather than theory. This applies particularly to those who want to know and realize God.
----
-----It means one has to one has to know and realize his inner most self is God and identify it has his true identity to find liberation from the bondage of  the illusion of birth, life, death and world[duality].   The goal of our life is to find and realize our identity with our beloved God, which is our innermost self.
