Thinking is possible only with the waking experience or dream. Without the waking or dream thinking is impossible . It means the the experience is prior to thinking. Experience is possible only in duality. Thinking is possible only on duality. Duality is possible only self is limited to individuality. Individuality is possible only where there is ignorance. Ignorance is the cause of experiencing the duality as reality.
Pursuit of truth is all about
accepting uncertainty and open questions and seeking for the things that are
certainty. Believers and nonbelievers will not accept anything other than their inherited belief system or
accepted truth. Atheists feel there is
no proof for god’s existence. So atheist chooses to just believe there is no
such thing called God. And religionists just believe in the existence of their
conceptual god. A Gnani is one who is
fully aware of the fact that, the existence or non-existence of God cannot be
proven on the base of physical self. Deeper understanding is necessary to understand and assimilate
the truth about Gods existence to know what is supposed to be the God.
In Vedas the God
has been described as:-
Sakshi (Witness)
Chetan (conscious)
Nirguna (Without form
and properties).
Nitya (eternal)
Shuddha (pure)
Buddha (omniscient)
Mukta
(unattached).
All this indicate the nature of Atman (soul) the innermost self.
The innermost Self or Atman is God and God is the innermost Self or Atman. It means the ultimate truth is god. That is Atman is Brahman. That is the true self is ultimate truth.
Kenopanishad
II – verses 1-3:-He who thinks that he knows really thereby proves himself ignorant. He who
realizes that he cannot know Him has best understood Him. Those who seek to
know Him, as they can grasp things of ordinary knowledge, can never achieve
their object. Those who realize the limitation of the human mind in respect of
the knowledge of the Supreme Spirit and, therefore, frankly confess ignorance,
really approach a true understanding of it.
The
limitation of human knowledge, when trying to comprehend the Supreme Being, is
brought out in the above epigram.
Kenopanishad
II – verses 4:-When it is known through every conscious state, it is rightly known and one
attains eternal life thereby. Through his own self he gains strength and
through his knowledge immortality. Not by reasoning but only by an awakening can we get a vision of the Supreme
Spirit. Life, in relation to the Ultimate Reality, is like a state of sleep.
Reason, in respect of Ultimate Reality, is like the impossible conception of a
sleeping man trying to know what he is about, without waking up. As sleep is to
waking, so is ordinary life to the state of realization.
Orthodox view seems to be that the devoted devotee eventually goes to heaven to
be eternally with the God. The religious ideas of individualized God, heaven, hell, paradise, sin,
karma are based on the waking entity, which is the false self (ego) within the
false experience (waking).
Self
is neither the waking entity nor the self is dream entity but the self is the
formless substance and witness of the three states. When the self is not the
waking entity (ego) than whatever seen, known, believed and experienced of the
world within the waking experience is bound to be falsehood.
Where there is no experience
then there is no duality where there no duality then there is no second thing
exist other than the self-awareness.
Therefore seeker has to trace the obstacles, which is blocking his
realization of ultimate truth of Brahman. For the sincere and serious seekers
the inner grace will guide until the ignorance vanishes. When one becomes aware
of the fact that the diversity [universe or Illusion] is mere mirage created
out of consciousness, the innermost self than he enters the non-dual
Self-Awareness. Waking experience in which a person perceives the world doesn't
exists as real in Self-awareness. In non-dual self-awareness the experience of duality
(body, ego and the world) is also consciousness.
Whatever one thinks as waking
entity within the waking experience makes him something other than what self is.
When the waking experience ends, what happens? It is consciousness alone
prevails without the three states.
