Thus ‘I’ is the seed of ignorance. One has to get rid of the ignorance in order to acquire Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana

Formless Soul is the innermost self. Soul, the innermost self is present in the form of consciousness. The innermost self is neither the body, nor anything of the objective world   because they are all transient. The body and the world are mere mirage created out of consciousness.  Thus the body and the world are illusory in their nature.

The body and world are one in essence. That essence is consciousness. Thus there is no second thing exists other than consciousness.

The mind is present in the form of ‘I’. ‘Mind’ is not limited to body because the mind is the whole universe. The universe appears as waking or dream and disappears as deep sleep.  The duality is present only in waking or dream. In deep sleep there is only non-duality.  Thus the reality is hidden within the three states. Thus all the three states have to be taken in to account to unfold the mystery of the mind or universe.

“WHO AM I?” reveals only the falsity of the waking entity or ego, thus it reveals half-truth.
People think 'I' is 'SELF because sages in the past declared it.

Whatever flashes as ‘I’ is not the Self? ‘I’ is the center of the illusion. Without the ‘I’ there is no illusion. Thus ‘I’ is the cause of ignorance. Thus ‘I’ based teaching and theories are good in the beginning of pursuit of truth but they are the greatest hindrance to reach the ultimate end. Therefore those who are seeking ultimate truth or Brahman to overcome all the obstacle in pursuit of truth by perfect understanding of what is what.

Pursuit of truth is pursuit of verification therefore holding some teacher or teaching as a yardstick and trying to prove their point leads to perversity. Argument is not allowed in pursuit of truth because the truth has to be ascertained by the seeker himself through deeper self-search and only un-contradictable truth has to be accepted as truth.

Deeper sell-search reveals the fact that, the self is not the body (waking entity or ego). If the self is not the body (waking entity or ego) than what value all the body based theories will have. What value the visions and experiences will have. What value the three states will have. If the self is not the body than whatever seen, known, believed and experienced as waking entity is bound to be falsehood because waking experience itself is falsehood.  If the self is not the body than the experience of form, time and space is bound to be falsehood.  If the experience of form time and space are falsehood than the universe is bound to be falsehood. If universe. If the universe is falsehood than the experience of the birth, life and death, which takes place within the universe is bound to be falsehood.

Thus ‘I’ is the seed of ignorance. One has to get rid of the ignorance in order to acquire Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.Whatever is connected to the 'I' is bound to be falsehood.
