The Sky , Sun ,Moon,Stars and all the Planets are reality within the illusion

One has to  become fully aware of the fact that,  the waking and dream both are mirage. Without knowing how the waking experience  it is difficult to assimilate what is truth and what is untruth. one must analyze the three states ,   to realize the three states  are product of ignorance. When ignorance vanishes the three states are non-extent,  because the three states are one in essence.  That essence is consciousness.  The consciousness is the soul, the innermost self.

When the waking entity  grasps the fact that,  the three states are one essence,  than the ignorance vanishes.  Thus it is  very much necessary to understand the fact that 'I' is not the self but  'I' is mind. Mind is present in the form of universe. Universe appears as waking or dream. thus it is necessary for the the seeker to understand 'what is what'  in order to understand and assimilate Self -Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana .

Whatever seen known, believed, experienced as an  individual septate from the world is reality within the waking experience but waking experience is mere illusion.  Therefore the individual experience of the birth, life, death and the world are mere mirage cerated out of formless consciousness,  the innermost self.

Dream is parallel   waking state. There is no sun, moon or stars, yet there is an entire illuminated world visible to the dreamer. The light is still present there.  this light is  soul  or consciousness , the innermost self.

Soul  or consciousness emanates its own light.  Without this light nothing exists.  The whole cosmos is mere mirage created out of consciousness.  The Sky , Sun ,Moon,Stars and all the Planets are reality within the illusion. Their existence is possible only in duality. The duality is non-extent as reality from ultimate standpoint.   The illusion is powered by the soul or consciousness. Thus no second thing exists other than consciousness. It is because he experiences them by the light of the soul. That which is said to be only mental and internal, is thus able to produce the experiences externally.

If self is mentally subtracts from three states than self is in object-less awareness or Self-awareness.  the three states are an object to the formless subject. the  three states are   known. the knower of the coming and going of the three states is the formless soul or consciousness. deep sleep gives idea of the  object-lessness of the soul.one gets  the knowledge objectiveness of the deep sleep  only in waking experience. one has the the idea of dream experience  or idea of deep sleep  only in waking experience.

Deeper self-search revels the fact that, the self is neither the waking entity no the self is dream entity but the self is the formless witness of the three states, which comes and goes in succession. Thus seer  of the dream as a whole is not the dream entity and seer of the waking as whole is not waking entity . Thus the self is not an entity or identity within the waking or dream. the one which is aware of the coming and going of the three states is within the three states but it is apart from the three states. It is within the three states as their formless substance and it is apart from the three states as their formless witness. It is apart because it is not an entity or identity or thing within the three states.  The formless substance and witness are one in essence therefore the three states are one in essence.  The essence is consciousness, the innermost self. Thus consciousness alone is real and all the three states are mere mirage created out of consciousness.

If one learns to  view and judge the three states on the standpoint of the  formless soul , the innermost self then he will be able to   grasp the reality of his true existence.

One can grasp it only by perfect understanding and conviction. One may know intellectually but cannot realize it. The moment waking/dream arrives he knows that it was preceded by the soul/true self. Hence the interval between two states is soul or consciousness , the innermost self.

One must observe and to examine the appearance and disappearance of the three states with tremendous watchfulness to grasp it. The three states come of their own accord. But the existence of the formless witness or the soul  is grasped by intensely sharp vigilance only.

Soul is the absence of the three states. It is always present but must be probed for. It must be always there because it is implied by the presence of the three states. Were it not there one could never think. Soul only can get the meaning of existence and non-existence. When one can realize within the three states the non-existence of experience then that is Soul or consciousness, the innermost self.
