The direct realization of the ultimate truth of Brahman will not come by hearing the sermons of the gurus or scholars

Inquiry into the nature of the Self by deeper self-search and then reflecting on them is the direct means to Self-realization.

The direct realization of the ultimate truth of Brahman will not come by hearing the sermons of the gurus or scholars. Intellectual understanding  of the nondual truth though essential, is not sufficient. The seeker must constantly reflect mentally on the nature of the self, which is in the form consciousness.

Faith in the belief system obstructs the rise of direct knowledge. Accumulated knowledge is what obstructs the rise of self - knowledge.

Deeper-self-search should be continued till realization. If one does not get realization he will get it as his understanding matures and when all obstacles have been eliminated.

If even over a long period realization does not arise, it is due to various impediments. Realization will dawn when the impediments are removed.
