Seeker has to give up the misleading and impossible idea that he is going to establish
Atman by means of bookish knowledge and yogic practice, or by mastering
scriptural or theoretical knowledge. Only through deeper inquiry and
soul-centric reasoning he can reach the ultimate end. A Gnani is fully
aware of the fact that, the world facing him also is consciousness in
its substance, because there is only one, no second thing other than
consciousness in the experience of diversity [waking].
Waking experience consists of a single substance manifesting under myriad names and forms. The soul or consciousness contains the mind. The mind contains the whole universe. The universe appears as waking experience. In this mind or universe or waking there is only one pure substance that is consciousness. Consciousness is absolute and indivisible Truth. Only in Waking experience there is sense of duality. Duality ceases to exist in reality. The waking experience is the state of separation or division. Thus it is necessary to realize the three states are one in essence. Intellectually speculating I AM THAT is of no use, because without realizing the form, time and space are one in essence, it is impossible to acquire Self-Knowledge or brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. –FORMLESS PATH
