The self is that which witnesses the waking entity and the waking world together.

Only those who base themselves on the soul, which is the true self, can find the ultimate truth. In the realm of ultimate there is perfect freedom from experiencing   illusory duality as reality . The duality becomes mere illusion on the standpoint of the formless   soul or consciousness, the innermost true self.

One has to realize the fact that waking entity  is not our true self.  The  self is that which witnesses the waking entity  and the  waking world together.  There is unity in diversity when one bases his- self on the formless soul or consciousness, the innermost  self.  But when one bases his- self on the waking  entity the diversity becomes reality. Therefore, there is a need to indulge in deeper self-search  to overcome the ignorance. ignorance is cause of experiencing the illusory duality as reality.  one has to realize the fact that , the waking entity ’ is not the self, but  self  is  formless witness of the ‘three states ,which comes and goes in succession,  in order to realize the duality is mere mirage. The truth can’t be described but grasped because it exists without words!

The true Self is not individual. There is no diversity in reality. Waking gives the illusion of diversity. Thus there is need to trace the formless substance and witness of the three states in order to realize the three states are mere mirage created out of consciousness. 

The mirage and the formless witness of the mirage are one in essence. There is no second thing exist other then the formless substance of the mirage, which is the soul which is in the form of consciousness.  The words, names, forms and thought and experiences have no meaning because they have been created out of one single stuff,which is consciousness.

One must know that the body and the world are part of the mirage. The mirage appears and disappears to the formless witness. The witness of the mirage is formless and eternal.  

When there is mirage then there is duality.  When there is no mirage then there is only non-duality. The non-duality is independent and duality is dependent on non-duality. The duality is impermanent and non-duality is permanent and eternal.  The individual experiences of birth, life and death is part of the mirage. Thus believing in birth, life and death and judging on the physical base keeps one in the grip of illusory pleasure and sorrow. 

All the experiences such as astral travel, visions are mere mirage, because they exit only in the realm of duality. The waking or dream or visions or astral are created out of formless clay. The formless caly is real and eternal not the forms and shapes created out of it.
